After seven years of R&D, in September 2018, Greenbutts™ received its first "Biodegradable Cigarette Filter and Method of Manufacture" patent in the United States
(U.S. Patent # 10,076,135). This is following receiving the United Kingdom Patent (#GB2525363) and approved for a patent in Canada.
